Just like the weight of the world on Atlas’ shoulders, our necks bear the burden of modern technology. Constantly gazing down at our screens, we put strain on our cervical spine, which wasn’t meant for this kind of sustained pressure. Dr. Kavita Trivedi explains that humans are built to stand tall, not to constantly crane their necks downwards. So it’s no wonder ‘tech neck’ is becoming a common issue. The good news is, there are ways to prevent it! By being mindful of our screen time, taking frequent breaks to stretch and strengthen our necks, and maintaining good posture, we can alleviate the strain on our spine and keep our necks happy and healthy!
