In this study, more than half of the participants gained 5% or more body weight over a 10-year period. What’s more shocking is that over a third of adults gained a hefty 10% or more body weight, while nearly a fifth saw a whopping increase of 20% or more! It’s as if the scales of the country are tipping in favor of weight gain. This concerning trend highlights the severity of the US obesity epidemic and calls for urgent action to address this growing public health issue.
