Thanking and apologizing: Talk that isn’t cheap
Researchers have introduced a framework, ‘Responsibility Exchange Theory,’ for understanding why thanking and apologizing, as well as bragging and blaming, matter so much, and presents novel experimental studies that reveal the psychology underlying these communications.
